Overview
Two field tools on the phone: a car speed test and a motor and traction calculator.
Elevator Performance is MoviLift's free app for elevator technicians, installers and service engineers: two field tools that run entirely on the phone, with no account and even without a connection.
Car speed test. Lay the phone on the car floor, tap Start and call the elevator. The app detects departure and arrival on its own and measures average and peak speed, travel distance and ride time, maximum acceleration and deceleration, and maximum vibration with a comfort rating. The chart shows acceleration over the whole ride, compared with the curve of a comfortable elevator, and the report can be shared with one tap.
Motor and traction calculator. From the motor and sheave nameplate data (diameter, 1:1 or 2:1 roping, gearless or geared machine, rated frequency and rpm) it works out the car speed at rated rpm, motor poles, synchronous speed and slip, and the motor rpm and inverter frequency for the speed you want.
Measurements are indicative and do not replace acceptance tests with certified instruments.
